Commitment to Growth Service Agreement
To ensure the highest quality of intervention and the best possible outcomes for your child, Ember and Ivy operates under the following professional standards. By enrolling in a tutoring package, you agree to these terms:
1. Investment and Enrollment
Education is an investment in your child’s future. To secure your placement in my schedule, all packages must be paid in full prior to the first session.
- Non-Refundable Policy: Once a package is purchased, it is non-refundable.
- Transferability: Your investment is protected. If your circumstances change, remaining sessions may be transferred to future dates or gifted to another student, provided they meet the criteria for specialized instruction and complete a Discovery Session.
2. Attendance and The 24-Hour Rule
Consistency is the most critical factor in overcoming literacy challenges.
- Cancellations: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited.
- Late Arrivals: Sessions begin and end at their scheduled times. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, the session may be canceled and considered used.
- Tech Clause: Technical difficulties on the client’s end do not extend session time. If issues occur on the instructor’s end, the full time will be honored or rescheduled.
3. Intellectual Property and Resources
Throughout our work, I may provide custom worksheets, strategy kits, and proprietary tools developed over 25 years in education.
- Materials are for the exclusive, personal use of the enrolled student.
- They may not be reproduced, resold, or redistributed without express written consent
4. Scope of Professional Practice
As a Master of Education and Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, my role is to provide specialized educational intervention based on the Science of Reading.
- Educational Focus: Services are pedagogical, not medical or psychological.
- Not a Diagnosis: My assessments do not constitute a medical diagnosis. I am happy to work alongside your child’s clinical team to provide integrated support.
5. Termination of Services
The relationship between a practitioner, a student, and their family must be built on mutual respect and shared goals.
- I reserve the right to terminate services for repeated policy violations or if I determine my expertise is no longer the right fit for the student’s needs.
- In the event I initiate termination, a prorated refund for unused sessions will be provided.
By moving forward with Ember and Ivy, you agree to these terms and join a partnership dedicated to your child’s growth, confidence, and lifelong love of reading.
