Flip and Find Sentences

Description

This interactive game will boost reading comprehension and fluency among students! Perfect for small groups or classroom centers consisting of 2–5 players, this game transforms reading practice into a fun and collaborative experience. Students will match sentences with picture cards, encouraging visualization and active participation.

Each student starts by being dealt two sentences face-up, giving them a “Quiet Minute” to visualize the scenes described. When the teacher flips over a picture card, the game begins! Students compare their sentences to the picture, and if there’s a match, they eagerly read the sentence aloud to claim the card.

The gameplay keeps the momentum going as students refresh their sentences from the deck after each round. With every match, their confidence grows, making this activity a highly effective and enjoyable tool to enhance learning.
